Our celebration for Fierorama's
25th edition is being postponed
until 2021 and being replaced by
"Fiero Day 2020". This year's event
will be a Fierorama-like event,
which unfortunately will not be as
elaborate as the events we have
organized in recent years, as a
result of the pandemic. As is
Fierorama tradition, our event date
is Sunday, September 13,2020 but
will only beb a one-day only event
this year, harkening back to the
early years of Fierorama. Our goal is to honor the legacy of
Fierorama while allowing our
participants to remain safe while
the pandemic continues to impact all
of our lives.
This year's
event date falls on a very
significant day in the history of
the Pontiac Fiero. Thirty-seven
years ago, on Tuesday, September 13,
1983, then Congressman Bob Carr of Michigan spoke before the U.S .
House of Representatives to declare
that day "Fiero Day". To coincide
with this iconic day, GM provided
twelve Pontiac Fieros for the
members of Capital Hill to test
drive and learn about "a brand-new
auto industry where labor/management
relations are keyed to cooperation
and quality". So, as the pandemic
puts our traditional plans for
Fierorama on hiatus for 2020, we
honor this historic day in the life
of our country: a day set aside
to honor the Pontiac Fiero. Please
join us to celebrate this one-day
car show event entitled Fiero Day
2020!
As of August 8,
2020, Kane County in Illinois is
in-Illinois' Phase Four of the
"Restore Illinois" plan which
suggests for gathering of up to
fifty people. If this phase is in
effect, We are planning for our
event will to take place in the
parking lot of our host hotel, the
Quality Inn in St. Charles, IL from
1:00pm until 5:00pm.
Pre-registration is strongly
encouraged and is available via the link in the upper left corner of this page.
To allow for social
distancing, Fieros will be separated
by one parking space on the show
field without the typical car show
class designations. Voting will
take place via your cell phone or
hard copy ballots will be available
to determine the winning Fieros in
attendance with award certificates
being presented. You will have the
opportunity to vote for your top 10
favorite Fieros with awards being
presented to 50% of the Fiero Day
participants. For everyone's safety,
face coverings and social distancing
rules issued by the CDC in effect at
showtime will need to be followed.
Each entrant will receive a goody
bag upon arrival! Restaurants in
close proximity to Fiero Day 2020
include: Colonial Cafe', Arby's, and
Jersey Mikes. A food vendor will not
be on the premises during Fiero Day
2020.
We are
remaining hopeful that Illinois will
continue to be in Phase Four on September 13,
2020 so that we can join together in
person as the Fiero community to
celebrate Fiero Day 2020. As has
been the case since mid-March,
things will continue to change
quickly. Please keep your attention
focused on Eblasts that will be sent
out, updates on our website at
fierofocus.com as well as on our
NIFE Facebook page. We will provide
the latest information available
through these platforms as Fiero Day
2020 draws near.

To
prepare your Fiero for the big

for your convenience. Tyler Wash at
503 Tyler Road is located a block

this year's event and experience the
Fiero community comradery we have
all enjoyed over these past many
years.
